Several computers are
available for use by adults and children; all feature high-speed
Internet access (T1). The Microsoft Office Professional 2003 software
suite is installed on these machines, which includes Word, Excel,
Access, Publisher, and Powerpoint.
(Two computers on each
floor are dedicated to online catalog access only; these may be used
by anyone at any time.)
Public access computers
must be
“checked
out”
at the Circulation Desk before use.
Adults: a library
card is not required; if you do not have a card, a photo ID
must be presented.
Children: a
library card is required with each use (indicates parental
permission). A child's own library
card includes access to the library's computers and the Internet, so
parents should be sure to ask questions and talk with the library
staff about any concerns.
NOTE:
Internet contentfiltering is not currently
used at the library. If you have concerns in this area, please
contact our Library Director or Technology Manager.
