Public Access Computers

People using computers

Several computers are available for use by adults and children; all feature high-speed Internet access (T1). The Microsoft Office Professional 2003 software suite is installed on these machines, which includes Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and Powerpoint.

(Two computers on each floor are dedicated to online catalog access only; these may be used by anyone at any time.)

Public access computers must be checked out at the Circulation Desk before use.

  • Adults: a library card is not required; if you do not have a card, a photo ID must be presented.

  • Children: a library card is required with each use (indicates parental permission). A child's own library card includes access to the library's computers and the Internet, so parents should be sure to ask questions and talk with the library staff about any concerns.

    • NOTE:  Internet content filtering is not currently used at the library. If you have concerns in this area, please contact our Library Director or Technology Manager.

  • All computer users are subject to the Acceptable Use Policy for the Internet adopted by Library Board of Trustees.

  • Laser printing is available for $0.15 per page (black ink only).
