A trained librarian delivers library materials
county-wide in a late-model van, replacing the big lumbering
bookmobile of years past with a more personalized and cost-effective
outreach program. The van visits homebound readers of all ages, day
care centers, a small private school, day care centers, and the
local nursing home on a regular schedule.

could benefit from this service,

If you cannot find the title you need on our
shelves, we can probably borrow it for you from another library.
Through the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives, we
belong to a nation-wide network of libraries with millions of items
available for loan. An electronic system tracks each request,
automatically routing it from one library to another until it can,
hopefully, be fulfilled - and then tracks the actual loan and
return.
Many ILL books are delivered between libraries
by a special state-wide courier service. This courier visits our
library only one time per week. Please understand that when you
submit a request via ILL, it may take just a few days, or as much as
a few weeks, for the book to arrive. You will be able to keep the
book for about two weeks, depending on the original lender's due
date. ILL items are NOT RENEWABLE.
We do not charge you anything for this
fantastic service - we only ask that you return these materials on
time so that we can meet our obligation to the original lender.
Overdue fees for ILL items are high, so be sure to avoid them!
New books (published within the last year) are
not eligible for ILL; consider submitting a
Request for Purchase
instead.

Free notarization of documents; must sign in

employee who is a Notary Public; daily work schedules vary, so you
may want to call in advance to confirm availability.
An appointment may be required if there is a
group of people involved in signing a single document, or if several
documents are to be notarized in one visit. We reserve the right to
limit the number of notarizations per visit, and to decline notary
service when library business takes precedence.
