Helping Keep COVID-19 Rates Lower

Based on input from the Bourbon County Health Department, we will be monitoring COVID levels in Bourbon County and taken action as prescribed. Thursday will be the decision-making day for each week.

Each Thursday we will look at the County’s status based on numbers and color code provided by the Governor’s office. If Bourbon County is anything other than RED, the Library will be open to browsing and use beginning the next day. If, however, the County’s status is RED, the Library will operate in curbside mode with the addition of a small computer lab (7 days a week) and GED testing on Thursdays. Patrons wishing to use the computer lab/make copies or take a GED test may call the Library (859-987-4419) or wait at the rear/parking lot entry. Staff will let patrons into the building.

A few other details:

  • Persons in the Library will need to wear a mask at all times and follow social distancing rules (keep at least 6 feet apart).
  • Water fountains and all but two restrooms are also closed.
  • Hand sanitizer, gloves, and a limited supply of masks are available for patron use

We hate having locked doors. Let’s all work together to help reduce Bourbon County’s COVID-19 rate!
