Each year the Paris-Bourbon County Library participates in the national Summer Reading Program, creating opportunities for people of all ages to read for simple joy and pleasure over the summer. School age children receive the added benefit of keeping skills learned over the prior school year active and thereby avoiding the summer slide, which is a tendency for students to lose skills learned in school. Adults are offered many exciting fun and educational programs and events.
2019’s Summer Reading theme is “A Universe of Stories,” and includes space-themed activities for all ages! Events run through July 31 and offer opportunities to laugh, learn, and even win prizes. Check out our events calendar for more information.
