Current Job Opportunities
When openings occur, we always post on our web site and in-house. For full-time jobs, applications are accepted only during specified applications for advertised vacancies. These will be posted in the newspaper and on the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives Job List.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
Library volunteers play an important role helping the library meet its mission of connecting people with information. We recognize that your time is valuable, and will do our best to identify activities that fit your interests in order to make your volunteering experience rewarding. We accept adult volunteers, and teens ages 13 and up with parental permission.
Contact Jenni by email or at 859-987-4419, or stop by the library, for more information and an application.
Service on the Library Board of Trustees
“Government is a trust, and the officers of government are trustees; and both the trust and trustees are created for the benefit of the people.” — Henry Clay, 1829
The library board is entrusted by the community with the responsibility for ensuring that the library provides the best service possible in the present, and is able to continue to do so in the future. Together, its members set library policy, monitor the library’s budget and overall effectiveness, and participate in planning and advocacy activities for sustainable development. More information about the roles and responsibilities of library trustees is available from the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives, or by contacting Director Mark Adler at (859) 987-4419, x 103.
Vacancies on the Paris-Bourbon County Library’s Board of Trustees typically occur with the expiration of a current member’s term. Such vacancies are generally announced on our website, in the Library, in the local newspaper, and using various social media sites. There are currently no openings for which the Library is accepting applications.
