Technical Services and Acquisitions Manager
The Paris-Bourbon County Library seeks a professional, energetic, creative, and patron-focused individual to join our team as Technical Services and Acquisitions Manager.
As part of a team of eight full-time and ten part-time staff, the Technical Services and Acquisitions Manager is responsible for providing responsive service and an appealing, diverse collection to library patrons throughout the county. Responsibilities include ordering, processing, and cataloging of library materials; materials selection; interlibrary loan; development of the Bourbon County Digital Library; implementation of new technologies; website development; serving library patrons; and other duties as assigned.
An ALA-accredited MLS, current program enrollment, or equivalent library/data management experience is required. PBCL staff strive to work as a true team, and we are seeking a friendly, positive, proactive colleague to make the library even better. Some evenings and weekends are required, and the position requires regular lifting of books and other library materials up to 35 pounds. WordPress experience is a plus!
Employment is full time (37.5 hours per week), with starting MLS-level pay of $19 per hour. Benefits include 100% employer-paid individual medical and dental insurance; CERS retirement; ten paid holidays per year; and accrual of 7.5 sick and 7.5 vacation hours per month.
