The genealogical resources at the Paris-Bourbon County Library include databases, print materials from the Kentucky Collection, microfilm, and “family files.” These collections are grouped together for ease of use on our second floor where we have a microfilm reader and computer dedicated solely for genealogical research.

Our “family files” are a unique resource which provide information on local families as well as some Bourbon County churches and historical sites. These files have been compiled and donated by patrons doing family and local history research and the library has not verified the information they contain but anyone visiting our library is welcome to view them and to make copies for personal use. Unfortunately these files are not indexed, cataloged, or available in a digital format.
